Valentines Day

There’s lots of events that happen throughout the year that are great excuses to get creative with your kids. These events mark significant personal milestones - such as Birthdays and Graduation, remind us to recognize the special people in our lives (e.g. Mothers Day) or are nationally (or internationally) recognized events that promote awareness, or goodwill - such as the International Day of Peace, or National Watermelon Day. And then there are adhoc events that range from the unexpected (e.g. rainy days) or planned (e.g. luau).

For each of these events there’s usually plenty of ways to get kids involved in making art or doing crafts. By making greeting cards or gifts, by making a special edible treat or a table centerpiece or room decorations for a party. Or simply doing something in the spirit of the event.
