These books are classics, and have won numerous awards. This box set is the perfect selection for early independent readers, in 1st or 2nd grade.
I read these books when I was that young, and I NEVER forgot Frog and Toad. They are part of the reason I love to read to this day. I distinctly remember how proud my mom was when I would sit down in the summer and plow through these books.
I gifted these to a much younger cousin of mine, and I hear reports that she asks to read them to her parents before bedtime! Mission accomplished!
The stories are short enough that a young reader can quickly progress through the pages, and not get bogged down. The print is BIG; good so parents can look on, but not get in the way. This builds confidence in reading, and fosters a love of reading in general. I cannot recommend Frog and Toad in stronger terms.

Great value; 3 paperback books
Love this classic books! If you are a homeschool family, Moving Beyond The Page calls for this book. Very classic great books great for young readers. (Both my 4 and 6 yo loved them!)I got this at less than $9 (as of dec 2018) , for 3 classic books, this is a great price.This would also make a great holiday/birthday gift.
